RETURN POLICY

This Return Policy is governed by Swiss law, in particular the provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) on warranty for defects (Art. 197 et seq. CO).
Due to the nature of food products (including perishable and/or frozen items), there is no general right of withdrawal or return. Claims are accepted only in the cases listed below.
1. Scope
This policy applies to all orders placed through the DistriLatina Switzerland online store.
2. No general right of return
Under Swiss law, there is generally no automatic right to return online purchases unless expressly granted by the seller.
Returns are not accepted due to change of mind, ordering errors, or personal preference.
3. Cases accepted for claims
- Product delivered with an expired best-before/expiry date at the time of receipt.
- Product in poor condition, with quality defects, or manufacturing defects.
- Transport damage duly reported (Art. 201 CO).
The customer must inspect the goods immediately upon receipt.
4. Notification deadline (Art. 201 CO)
- Inspect the goods immediately after delivery.
- Notify any defect or discrepancy in writing within two (2) calendar days after receipt.
- Provide clear photographic evidence of the affected product and its packaging.
Failure to notify in time may result in loss of warranty rights.
5. Claim process

- Include your order number.
- Describe the issue in detail.
- Attach clear photos of the product and packaging.
We will review the request and respond within 48 business hours.
If approved, we will provide instructions for a refund or replacement. In some cases, returning the defective product may not be required.
6. Refunds and replacements
If the claim is approved, the customer may receive:
- a replacement (subject to availability), or
- a partial or full refund, as applicable.
Refunds are issued to the same payment method used for the purchase and may take up to seven (7) business days to appear.
7. Limitation of liability
Claims will not be accepted if:
- the defect results from improper storage after delivery;
- the cold chain was broken for reasons attributable to the customer;
- the product was partially consumed without a reasonable justification of the defect.
Liability is limited to Art. 197 et seq. CO.
